Honesty Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the Honesty mobile application or website ("Service"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not access or use the Service.

2. Description of the Service

Honesty is a Christian morning routine and alarm application designed to provide intelligent alarms, Scripture reading, voice assistance ("Talk to Honesty"), reminders, hydration tracking, and daily faith-based spoken encouragement. Honesty is provided on an ad-free basis across all plan tiers.

3. User Accounts and Authentication

You may use core alarm and Bible features in guest mode or sign in using your account credentials. If you choose to authenticate, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and account access. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Subscription Tiers & Features

Honesty offers three plan levels:

• Honesty Free ($0): Includes unlimited manual alarms, manual reminders, hydration tracking, KJV Scripture reading, daily verse, one active Bible verse alarm, and basic voice trial.
• Honesty Plus ($5.99/month): Includes all Free features plus voice-created alarms and reminders, Daily Voice Blessing, personalized greeting and name, unlimited spoken Bible verse alarms, and calm music sequences.
• Honesty Premium ($9.99/month): Includes all Plus features plus male/female voice choice options, advanced devotional routines, and deeper personalization settings.

Note on Scripture Access: Reading Holy Scripture is a core spiritual utility. It is our principle that reading and exploring installed Bible text is never locked behind a paywall.

5. Marketplace Billing, Renewals, and Cancellation

Subscriptions are purchased, processed, and managed securely through the application marketplace on your device:

• Store Source of Truth: The official app marketplace is the authoritative source for localized subscription prices, active entitlement validation, taxes, and billing cycles.
• Automatic Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period (e.g., monthly) unless cancelled by the user at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Cancellation: You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time directly in your device marketplace account settings under Subscriptions. Cancellation prevents future renewals; you retain access to paid benefits until the conclusion of your already-paid billing period.
• No Direct Web Sales: Honesty does not sell mobile app subscriptions separately on this website or collect credit/debit card numbers directly.

6. Refund Policy for Marketplace Purchases

Because all Honesty subscriptions are billed through the application marketplace purchase flow:

• Refund requests for purchases made through the app store are governed by the applicable store refund policies.
• Users seeking a refund should submit their request directly through their store purchase history.
• Honesty customer support can assist with account inquiries, subscription verification, and technical troubleshooting, but Honesty support cannot directly override marketplace billing or refund decisions.
• Honesty does not guarantee refunds, nor do we operate an independent refund processing system for marketplace transactions.

7. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree to use Honesty only for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

• Attempt to decompile, reverse engineer, or extract source code from the application or its bundled offline models;
• Interfere with, tamper with, or disrupt the integrity or performance of backend synchronization services;
• Bypass or attempt to circumvent digital entitlement controls, license verification, or security features;
• Use the voice assistant or service to transmit unlawful, harmful, or abusive content.

8. Intellectual Property & Scripture Reverence

All text, graphics, logos, audio compositions, interfaces, and software code associated with Honesty (excluding public domain Scripture) are the intellectual property of Honesty or its licensors and are protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws.

Scripture quotations from the King James Version (KJV) are presented with reverence. Spoken scripture segments delivered by the app are read faithfully from canonical text without editorial distortion or artificial alteration.

9. Service Availability & Device Reliance

Honesty's core alarms are built with a local-first architecture so that configured alarms ring on your device even when offline. However, wake-up reliability depends on your device's operating system settings, battery optimization modes, system volume levels, and device power:

• You are responsible for ensuring that your device remains powered on and that Honesty is granted necessary permissions (e.g., Alarms & Reminders permission, battery optimization exemptions where prompted).
• Honesty is intended for routine wake-up and devotional purposes. It is not an emergency notification service, life-safety system, or medical timer.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, COMPLETELY ERROR-FREE, OR COMPATIBLE WITH EVERY COMBINATION OF HARDWARE AND OPERATING SYSTEM.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL HONESTY, ITS DEVELOPERS, AFFILIATES, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to cloud-synced account services if you violate these Terms. You may terminate your use of Honesty at any time by uninstalling the application and requesting deletion of your account.

13. Modifications to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. If a revision is material, we will provide reasonable notice prior to any new terms taking effect, such as by updating the date on this page or providing an in-app notice. Continued use of Honesty after the effective date of revisions constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
