Honesty Music Usage & Licensing Policy

1. Personal Use

Unless otherwise stated, Honesty music is provided for personal, private, and non-commercial use within the Honesty app and its approved features.

Users may listen to Honesty music through authorized Honesty features, including alarms, Daily Voice Blessing, devotional experiences, and other approved in-app uses.

Downloading, extracting, copying, recording, distributing, republishing, selling, licensing, or otherwise using Honesty music outside its permitted use is prohibited unless Honesty provides prior written authorization.

2. Commercial Use Is Prohibited Without Permission

Honesty music may not be used for commercial purposes without prior written authorization from Honesty.

This includes, but is not limited to:

• Advertisements
• Commercial videos
• Monetized YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, or other social-media content
• Movies, television programs, podcasts, or streaming productions
• Business promotions
• Paid events
• Products or merchandise
• Apps, websites, games, or other software
• Music compilations or playlists distributed outside Honesty
• Resale, sublicensing, or redistribution
• Use of Honesty music to promote another product, service, organization, or brand

Receiving access to the Honesty app, including through a paid subscription, does not grant a commercial music license.

3. Churches and Ministries

Honesty supports churches and ministries that may wish to use Honesty music during worship services, church programs, conferences, youth events, devotionals, or other ministry activities.

However, church or ministry use outside the normal Honesty app experience requires advance approval from Honesty.

Churches and ministries should submit their request approximately two to four weeks before the planned use whenever possible.

The request should include:

• Church or ministry name
• Contact person's name and contact information
• Song or music track requested
• Date of intended use
• Type of service or event
• Expected audience size
• Whether the event is free or paid
• Whether the service or event will be livestreamed
• Whether a recording will remain online afterward
• Platforms where the music will appear, such as YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, a church website, television, or another service

Submitting a request does not automatically grant permission.

The church or ministry must receive written approval from Honesty before using the requested music outside the uses already authorized through the Honesty app.

4. Livestreaming and Recorded Church Services

Permission to play a song at an in-person church service does not automatically include permission to:

• Livestream the music
• Upload the service to YouTube or another platform
• Create clips containing the music
• Use the music in promotional videos
• Distribute recordings of the service
• Monetize content containing the music

These uses must be disclosed when requesting permission and may require separate authorization depending on the rights associated with the particular song or recording.

5. No Redistribution

Users may not extract Honesty music from the app or redistribute Honesty music as standalone audio.

This includes uploading Honesty music to:

• YouTube
• Spotify
• Apple Music
• SoundCloud
• TikTok
• Instagram
• Facebook
• File-sharing services
• Music libraries
• Websites
• Other apps or digital platforms

Users may not claim Honesty music as their own work or register Honesty music with copyright, publishing, royalty-collection, or content-identification services.

6. No Modification or Derivative Commercial Works

Unless Honesty provides written authorization, users may not remix, sample, reproduce, modify, create derivative recordings from, or incorporate Honesty music into another commercial musical work.

Permission to listen to or use a song for one approved purpose does not give permission to modify or reuse that song for another purpose.

7. Third-Party Rights

Some music available through Honesty may include rights owned or controlled by third-party composers, performers, publishers, producers, licensors, or other rights holders.

Honesty can only grant permissions that Honesty has the legal authority to grant.

For certain requests, additional authorization or licensing from a third-party rights holder may be required.

8. Permission Is Limited to the Approved Use

Any permission granted by Honesty applies only to the specific use described in the written approval.

Approval for one church service, event, video, project, or organization does not create ongoing permission for future uses unless the written authorization specifically states otherwise.

Honesty may establish additional conditions for a particular license or approved use.

9. Unauthorized Use

Unauthorized copying, redistribution, commercial exploitation, or other misuse of Honesty music may result in:

• Removal of access to Honesty services
• Suspension or termination of an Honesty account
• Requests for removal of unauthorized content
• Copyright or platform enforcement actions where legally appropriate
• Other remedies available to Honesty or the applicable copyright owner

10. Requesting Permission

If you would like to use Honesty music for a church, ministry, event, commercial project, video, livestream, or another use outside the normal Honesty app experience, contact Honesty at least two to four weeks in advance whenever possible.

Please provide complete information about the intended use so the request can be properly reviewed.

Do not use the music until written approval has been received.
